The City Industrial Story

In 1978, Steve Kuljis started City Industrial Tool & Die in 2,000 square feet of rented space in Harbor City, California. In those early days, the company produced stamping tooling for a variety of commercial industries and began to build a reputation for knowledge and craftsmanship in the metal stamping industry.

Our chief strength at City Industrial is our 40+ years of experience in tooling and stampings.

600-ton Stamping Capacity

By 1983, the company had moved into a larger facility, acquired its own punch press, and began to produce custom parts and assemblies as well as tooling for its growing customer base. By the early 1990s, City Industrial Tool & Die had moved into its own 13,000 square feet of manufacturing space with separate tooling and production stamping divisions. With eighteen people and sales above $1,000,000 per year, City Industrial had become the preferred supplier for a variety of industries and a wide range of applications.
Today, City Industrial Tool & Die produces high-quality tooling and prototype and production stampings for industries as diverse as automotive and trailer wheels, aftermarket components, exercise machines, electronics, structural building materials, marine applications, and reverse engineering and repair for machinery and equipment. “Our chief strength at City Industrial is our 40+ years of experience in tooling and stampings,” says Steve Kuljis, president. “We have the knowledge and the experience to take an idea from concept to completion all under one roof - designing and building the tooling, running the prototypes, and producing the production parts. This consolidation of resources, combined with our manufacturing expertise, saves time and money for our customers.”
Whether you need tooling designed and built, prototypes, production runs, custom machinery parts, reverse engineering, or all of the above, City Industrial has the facilities and the experience to deliver competitive pricing and dependable quality on time, every time. Contact us today.
